Role/responsibility:
o Role is quite varied
- 75% is data analysis/management/manipulation (not analytics per se). This will include report writing
- Reports might be for: warranty info, financial data, inventory, sales, etc…
- 25% is support/troubleshoot of existing business systems (purchasing, sales, financial, inventory, etc.)
- Review, test, update, patch, etc
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS : Must have proficiency with the following technologies:
o MS SQL server 2008 (queries, stored procedures) strong skills here
o Crystal Reports or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) Crystal Reports is what they use…any equivalent will be fine.
o Experience with some type of ERP system required
o Microsoft Office Suite (including macro programming using VBA) add Excel to the list
Top 3 “must haves”:
o SQL (and all the things that go with it…reporting, stored procedures, queries, etc)
o “Big picture” understanding of business systems, what they’re used for and why. A business background would help here
o Communication skills. This person will be engaging with people at all levels.
