6 to 12 month PM contract managing a wide variety of projects. Report to the VP of IT.
The PM would run a variety of projects. The projects can web project or the evaluation of a software package or other IT projects. They have two full time PM's. You would work with them. The two full time PM's and this Contract PM all report to the top IT person which is the VP of IT.
This is a true 40 hour week shop. It is their culture. So, a very nice place to work.
Responsibilities Include:
• Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
• Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate team members.
•Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Track project milestones and deliverables.
• Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
• Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
• Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
• Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
• Strict adherence to established support and service management policies and procedures (i.e. incident, change, problem, SDLC, etc.) thereby ensuring all activities are fully documented for auditing and future support purposes.
• Resolve issues in a project such as scope creep, changes in user requirements, schedule slippage, risks, technical problems and shortages of resources.
• Conduct knowledge and skill transfer sessions with business units and other IT functions.
