Business Analyst SAP PP (Production Planning).
The Business Analyst will be the intermediary between the business and IT to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into a conceptual design (using appropriate tools and models) from which software solutions are created. The Business Analyst will be an active thought partner and application visionary that shapes the information technology demand.
In this position the Business Analyst:
- Partners with leadership to shape key business processes and technology to drive value creation.
- Elicits, analyzes, translates, and documents business requirements into functional and technical requirements. Challenges the status quo to drive business value.
- Analyzes, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specifications; conducts or directs user acceptance testing.
- Creates business and system operating procedures.
- Provides direction to project resources to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget and meet stated business requirements.
Qualified applicants:
- Should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field or business. A minimum of five years of related experience.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of business functionality.
- Ability to create compelling business cases with accurate cost and effort estimations.
- Excellent understanding of business complexity and project interdependencies.
- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and changing business requirements.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise in work products.
Technical requirements:
- Ability to partner with software engineers and quality analysts to identify problems and determine resolutions.
- Strong understanding of basic system engineering, object-oriented design, information risk and security guidelines, and architecture standards.
- Strong understanding of Modeling Techniques: Object Orientation analysis, Unified Modeling Language (UML) (e.g. Use Cases, Activity Diagrams, Swim Lanes).
- In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Rational Unified Process (RUP), and Waterfall).
- Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.
- Deep SAP configuration experience with version ERP ECC 6.0 or above.
