Manage the QA process for web software for the Health Care Industry.
OverviewQA Manager spearheads efforts for approved projects. Will lead the QA team in collaboration with development staff and Product Managers to define scope of the required work, ensure quality and performance, and provide guidance to the testing efforts, while remaining compliant with the business unit’s established standards and software and business intelligence industry best practices.
An experienced manager, an independent self-starter, and a critical thinker. Candidates should be able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and should have experience in delivering best-practice business analysis solutions in a highly complex environment.
Responsibilities ? Manage QA Specialists responsible for validation and quality assurance activities that support defined client base(s).
? Provide guidance to Software Quality Assurance team in schedule and resource allocation.
? Manage and motivate a team of Software QA professionals.
? Collaborate across the organization and work closely with Development and Project Management groups or similar to coordinate project timelines and deliverables.
? Provide direction on process improvements to reduce validation/QA costs and cycle time.
? Ensure defined software validation/QA practices and procedures are appropriate and being followed for each system.
? Establish software validation practices and procedures to meet varying client software validation and QA demands and remain compliant with the business unit’s established standards, state and federal regulations as well as software industry best practices.
? Support quality initiatives.
? Manage internal audits to support continued process improvements.
? Monitor and track internal audits findings to ensure timely closure.
? Provide direction, coaching and training to Applications Development team and SQA teams or similar regarding software validation/QA issues.
? Provide signatory review and approval of Certification Summaries.
? Provide or manage the development and administration of Software Quality Training as needed.
? Maintain client project time in applicable software on weekly basis.
? Use the time reporting system; signing and reporting all exception time on a weekly basis.
? Complete other administrative tasks in a timely manner.
? Perform responsibilities in a professional manner, meeting the Company’s mission and goals.
Requirements? Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four year college or university, and 5 or more years related experience and/or training are required.
? Experience leading and developing a team of QA Engineers.
? Ability to prioritize projects and collaborate inside/outside of organizational boundaries.
? Experience creating test cases and performing manual testing for software and data QA is required.
