MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:1. Designs and codes applications utilizing specifications identified in the Business Requirement Document (BRD).
2. Identifies and trouble-shoots applications and code-related issues escalated by Developers.
3. Performs unit, system, and integration testing and participates in testing of applications.
4. Makes recommendations on and translates technical requirements into programmed application modules.
5. Works with Project Managers and other members of the Development team to analyze business/technology requirements and outlines the proposed technology solution.
6. Participates in design and code reviews and provides input into the design recommendation and ensures that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications.
7. Reports results of testing to identified teams via project status reports.
8. Participates in project estimating activities and on project teams in order to analyze new applications and make recommendations for development improvement needs.
9. Adheres to technology control policies throughout the design, development, and testing of applications.
10. Identifies and documents ongoing maintenance requirements.
11. Provides guidance and mentorship to other Development team members by leveraging expertise and knowledge gained through previous experience and training.
12. Ensures completed deliverables meet deadlines and established standards including the business and audit control requirements and disaster recovery procedures.
13. Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates plans and activities with others, as appropriate to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
14. Performs related work as apparent or assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related area.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with AS400 (iSeries) Application Development Skills, RPG 400, RPG ILE, CL, SQL, Trusted Link EDI, Java Script, Store Procedures.
• Current thorough knowledge of technical skills as they relate to objectives of position.
• Demonstrated ability to keep up-to-date on applicable technology and other advancements.
• Ability to effectively work with operators, end users and others
• Solid experience in system design and analysis.
• Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of customers, Company personnel, and others.
