DescriptionBusiness Systems Analyst to join our technology team in the reporting group. The Business systems Analyst is primarily responsible for working with the Reporting team facilitating the design, development and maintenance of information systems covering all phases of the project life-cycle with the ability to extract system and business requirements identifying and communicating deliverables and gaps, providing documentation to facilitate on-going maintenance of existing applications.
Ideal candidate is an experienced technologist, an independent self-starter, and a critical thinker. Candidates should be able to prioritize and meet demanding deadlines, should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and should have experience in delivering best-practice business analysis solutions in a highly complex environment. Health care industry experience is strongly preferred.
Primary responsibilities? Prioritizing user requirements.
? Provide schedule conflict resolution.
? Prototype user ideas
? Help users identify opportunities and help develop business requirements specifications (BRS).
? Work directly with the users to translate business requirements into functional requirements specifications for technical design and development.
? Participate in project evaluations, design review sessions, data requirement meetings and consulting with application development team.
? Ensure that software and hardware requirements are properly defined and available.
? Assist in design, testing and implementation of relational databases.
? Analyze overall impact of decisions based on business requirements.
? Make recommendations for business process design and re-engineering.
? Report all anomalies and schedule changes to management.
? Uses the time reporting system; signing and reporting all exception time on a weekly basis.
? Complete other administrative tasks, such as T & E reporting or similar, in a timely manner.
? Performs responsibilities in a professional manner, meeting the Company's mission and goals.
Requirements? Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field
? 3+ years of experience in business analysis or related environment
? To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software; database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
? Must be articulate, approachable, positive and organized.
? Must have both a technical and a lay persona.
? Must have superior analysis, problem solving and teamwork/leadership skills.
? Should have experience in relational database concepts and design and development tools.
