Overview Company is seeking a talented Senior User Experience Architect to join the development team. It is a full time employee position in a casual atmosphere.
This is newly created position thus providing the opportunity to create how the position and the role will be structured. There are many projects because they have a client base with continuing new interfaces to be developed.
This development team is focused on the rapid development of rich Internet applications (RIA) and the work is rewarding, challenging, and fast paced. The ability to work within a team environment, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to create engaging, usable, and effective visual design solutions both on your own and through collaboration with peers to achieve business goals is a must.
In this role, you will approach all projects with a focus on communication hierarchy using layout, color, typography, proportion, iconography, photography, motion / rich media and brand promise. You will also communicate and escalate opportunities, issues or risks as appropriate while utilizing industry best practices and design standards to define and implement design criteria, guidelines, and specs that effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences.
As Senior User Experience (UX) Architect, you will facilitate building strategic plans to insure a user centered product development approach. You will advocate for the user needs with an engaging, efficient, and elegant design; while keeping alignment with and championing the business strategy. As architect, you must use initiative, creativity, collaboration, and innovation to drive more effective design and process ideas to fruition and show pride of ownership for a range of project types.
Qualifications• Strong User Experience skills. Must have 10+ years of on-line interactive design
• Experience with Innovative UI design for Interactive Applications
• Exceptionally strong graphic design skills
• Team player - entrepreneurial spirit
• Extensive experience with Adobe Creative suite with an emphasis on Photoshop or Illustrator
Ideal candidate will have• Successfully architected the development of a user centric culture in previous employment.
• Designed the User Experience for a variety of projects within the company.
• Developed workflows, user task analyses, personas, interaction flows, wireframes, low fidelity mock-ups, navigational flows, and high fidelity prototypes.
Requirements include• BA/BS in Human Computer Interaction, Usability, Human Factors, Industrial Design, Psychology, Computer Science or related field a plus but not required.
• 8+ years of experience working in interaction design, UI design, and/or usability.
• 4+ years of experience building user centered product development processes.
• Extensive portfolio of completed design work.
