1716 - Director of Project Management - Southern Twin Cities Sub

135K to 165KThis position is creating the PMO from scratch. Have a lot of leeway in how it gets put together.

Notes from hiring individual:
• Very Strategic – find gaps, find solutions, get buy in from Sr. Execs and then implement successfully.
• Create Work Desk for projects coming in and work with Sr. Executives to align with their vision strategy
• Help frame to create client efficiencies
• Move to Microsoft Project
• Grow PMO
• Reports to COO
• Position will start with 4 Sr. PMs

Job Summary:
The Director Project Management is responsible for assuring the successful delivery of client deliverables, contributing substantially to client satisfaction through competent project management, understanding product strategy and customer needs, supporting the development of business cases, developing business requirements, and supporting product development and deployment.

The Director, Project Management role provides leadership, oversight and support to business and cross-functional teams through requirements gathering, process development and training programs. This role will provide technical oversight to ensure business requirements are met, monitor project plans, manage budgets, align resources and manage change.

Responsibilities:
' Manage the execution of client facing software initiatives.
' Deliver projects on-time, and on-budget with excellent quality.
' Work closely with teams and client to understand requirements, estimate the cost and timeline of the project, and then manage the ongoing implementation.
' Provide effective business analysis to help translate client needs into robust solutions.
' Develop and maintain a dashboard of key metrics to demonstrate the effectiveness of the implementation team.
' Provide financial management assistance and reporting on managed projects.
' Manage the project work queue and provide forward resource planning.

Desired Skills & Experience:
' Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
' Requires 10+ years experience in managing large scale projects with a strong emphasis on client-facing systems rather than internal technology.
' Requires 5+ years experience in managing Project Management, Program Management or Client Implementation related organizations with 30+ resources.
' Strong experience in managing project teams.
' Extremely proficient in the use of standard project management tools including MS Project and Visio.
' Excellent business analysis skills.
' Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
' Very strong analytical skills.
' Must be able to effectively manage and lead technical and non-technical teams.
' Ability to effectively interface at all in the organization.
