1706 - Network System Admin - West Minneapolis Sub

Ensures the stable operation of information systems infrastructure. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing of all hardware, software and communication links within the division.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide complete project support from architecting to managing a project from beginning to the end.
• Responsible for the daily operations of all Information Systems LAN/WAN Networks, Web, ESX Infrastructure and Telephony. If it has a Bit or a Byte running through it, it is part of your responsibility.
• Responsible for management and administration of security of the network, infrastructure, applications, including firewall management, intrusion detection and log analysis.
• Configures and installs Servers, routers, switches, VMware infrastructure and phones as needed.
• Ensures timely installation of upgrades and service packs.
• Documents all IT infrastructure problems and resolutions using spiceworks.
• Ensures adherence to policies and operating procedures.
• Adheres to internal SLA’s (Service Level Agreements).
• Provides support coverage, including end-user (desktop) and after-hours support, as required.
• Part of a rotating on-call team.
Required Skills
• On-going technical practice and learning of new LAN/WAN Networks, Web, ESX Infrastructure and Telephony.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver services on schedule, on budget, meeting requirements.
• Customer service organization, demonstrated by the ability to resolve incidents based upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
• Ability to effectively communicate with inside and outside customers, staff, and peers.
• Self-motivated and not afraid to put ideas on the table of improving the infrastructure.
Required Experience
• Possess 5-7 years experience Administrating and engineering Server and network Infrastructures.
• Proven project management experience and the ability to see a problem and architect a solution with minimal supervision.
