Job Detail
Large, complex software development project with multiple releases ; using an Agile software development approach.
The Project Manager will:
• Manage project schedule and task assignments
• Communicate project status weekly to stakeholders
• Manage project scope
• Manage project change control
• Facilitate periodic stakeholder and steering committee meetings as appropriate
• Follow Agile best practices
Skill sets:
• Minimum 7 years software development project management experience, including a minimum 3 years agile software development experience
• Previous experience getting troubled projects back on track
• Soft skills are more important than technical skills in this role
• Team player attitude with strong leadership skills
• Strong written and verbal communications in a timely manner
• Ability to create and manage detailed project documentation
• Comfortable in fast-paced, sometimes chaotic, IT environment
• Ability to negotiate with multiple resource managers with conflicting priorities to ensure project tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Strong Microsoft Office 2007, Project 2007, and Visio 2007 skills
