The System Specialist is responsible for support our ERPapplication. This IT professional collaborates with end users to troubleshoot issues, perform system testing, quality assurance for applications, enhancements and upgrades of various ERP applications. Incumbent will also be responsible for documentation and troubleshooting problems or issues associated with the application.
Essential Functions: • Performs application and technical support of the application software to include all modules and interfaces.
• Manages the administration and configuration.
• Manages security, administration and maintenanceof ERP Application
• Performs minor database administration and system testing, quality assurance of applications, enhancements and upgrades for various applications.
• Monitors the system’s performance to ensure performance levels are running smoothly without downtime.
• Provides support and database platform insight to SQL server to enhance the efficiency, integrity, safety and soundness of our SQL server systems.
• Creates and maintains system documentation. Documents and describes system problems and resolutions for future reference.
• Work in close alliance with the all departments to provide service excellence and consults with management on utilization of the system with best business practices.
• Serves as the back up to the Warehouse Management System Specialist and E-Commerce Specialist periodically.
• Participates in rotating "on call" schedule with other members of the IT Department. Performs special projects or assignments as directed by the Applications Development Manager.
Qualifications:• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Finance, or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• Three to five plus years in experience supporting windows ERP systems, Lawson M3 is a plus.
• Knowledge of Data Structures.
• Experience with upgrades on windows ERP systems, including testing and recovery.
• Basic knowledge and understanding Crystal Report Writer and tools.
• Experience with XML, HTML and Javascript/Jscript is a plus.
• Excellent communication (technical writing skills and verbal communication skills) and problem solving skills.
• Solid understand of Windows desktop operating systems (Win 7, XP, Vista) and Windows server operating systems (Windows 2003, 2008).
• Understanding of MS SQL Server 2008 andSQL tools.
• Strong testing and quality assurance skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent planning, time management, organization and decision-making skills.
• Ability to build and maintain quality relationships with diverse personalities.
• Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
