Seeking an experienced contract IT project manager who can simultaneously manage multiple MySQL database application upgrades and Microsoft SQL database application disaster recovery projects.
TimeframeStart immediately, will end no later than 1/31/2012,
o start date of 6/13/2011 (earlier if possible)
o end date of 1/31/2012
o 33 potential work weeks less 3 non-work weeks = 30 weeks
o 30 weeks at 40 hours per week = 1,200+ potential hours
ProjectsIn order of priority (Total Est. 1,250 Hours)
1. MySQL DB Upgrade – Everest US and UK (Est. 150 Hours)
2. MySQL DB Upgrade – Lextranet US and UK (Est. 150 Hours)
• Everest and Lextranet are internally developed customer facing applications that utilize MySQL. Project scope is to upgrade from MySQL 5.1.42 to MySQL 5.5 ga for each offour applications.
3. SQL Environment Disaster Recovery (Est. 400 Hours)
• Plan and execute automated SQL database replication from primary data center to DR data center. Our primary data center contains 80+ SQL servers, hosting thousands of SQL databases.
4. Team Foundation Server (TFS) Disaster Recovery (Est. 300 Hours)
• Plan and execute automated replication from primary data center to DR data center.
5. SharePoint Disaster Recovery (Est. 150 Hours)
• Plan and execute automated replication from primary data center to DR data center.
