• 4 programmer analysts
• 2 network people

Want:

• Strong Data Base/Data Warehouse experience in SQL Server environment
• Have come up through the ranks

Be nice if have been in or experience with of the following ERP's:
o Lawson M3
o or Great Plains
o or esEnterprise
o or Infor
o or other SQL Server based ERP.

BASIC FUNCTION:

To analyze, manage and lead the Information Services Department, ensuring that the departments’ philosophy, mission and goals are appropriately aligned and consistent with the strategic direction of the company.

The operating budget for the department is about $1.5M. The capital varies significantly, probably between $400,000 of the low side to $1.5M high side.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Four year college degree in information systems, computer science or equivalent
• Five to10 years experience of increasing responsibility including leading a group of IT professionals
• A “can do” attitude with good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to think analytically and apply critical thinking to problem resolution and process development.
• Ability to manage a professional staff of technical personnel
• Ability to set and communicate priorities for the department
• Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers and management.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure that the strategic goals of the IS group reflect the corporate strategic goals
• Setting the Company’s overall technology standards, managing the implementation of data systems and monitoring their effectiveness in meeting the Company’s needs.
• Manage the corporate IT assets including phone systems in a fiscally responsible manner, while insuring system availability and appropriate access to information
• Communicate and obtain buy-in to these goals from the department personnel and the Executive team


OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Align the resources (departmental, vendor and user-based) to successfully accomplish these goals
• Adapt to changing business situations ensuring that the department’s resources are properly allocated to successfully implement changes
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in IS Technology in order to be an internal resource for all departments within the organization
• Assume the leadership role in developing and maintaining the systems disaster recovery plan
• Learn the business through involvement with the Executive team.
• Other projects as assigned
