The Manager, Enterprise Data Management will contribute to the BI department through business interactions including building and maintaining relationships; leading information architecture and strategy; developing data integration practices, and providing leadership to team and department.
This is a critical role that will manage a team that enables the flow of information in and out of enterprise data warehouse.
Qualifications Candidates MUST have strong implementation experience.
Deep Subject Matter Expertise required in at least
ONE of the following three areas and have working knowledge of the other 2 areas.
1. Master Data Management
2. Data Governance
3. Data Quality.
We are particularly interested in candidates with deep knowledge of the strategic business drivers and operational process requirements within industries such as Health Insurance, Financial services, High Tech, Pharmaceuticals or General Insurance. It is critical that regardless of industry background, candidates must be able to link specific business requirements of their vertical to EDM capability requirements.
Successful candidates will also demonstrate a deep knowledge of more than one Enterprise Data Management (EDM) toolset: (MDM, Metadata, Data Quality) i.e. Informatica, Datastage, Oracle PDM/DRM/DataHub/Hyperion MDM tools, IBM WebSphere MDM tools, Tibco, Embarcadero Technologies.
Experience with conceptualization, design and assistance in the implementation of new and existing systems, middleware, MDM, metadata, data quality, data warehouse and production architectures.
SKILLS/ABILITIES: Bachelor's degree or 4 years equivalent professional experience required.
6+ years of relevant data management (master data, metadata, data architecture, data governance, data quality) or industry experience.
• Ability to architect an Enterprise Data Management solution and provide business, governance and technical recommendations
• Ability to recommend EDM process, governance, organizational and platform models, tool selections and application integration options to clients
• Ability to advise on EDM application integration best practices and optimize performance of EDM programs and solutions
• Broad system level expertise across multiple computing platforms and technologies with the ability to influence technology direction at the Enterprise Level
• Raise quality of EDM strategy, ETL design and implementation across the practice by sharing insights and methods through training, community, etc.
• Deep knowledge of Oracle solutions, Data Warehouses, and Business Intelligence solutions such as those from Oracle Business intelligence, IBM/Cognos, Business Objects, Oracle Hyperion, SAS, Teradata and others
