Notes:Need to be a strong Java Developer and must have WCS experience.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVES OF POSITION: Design, development, implementation and maintenance of web functionality and features for Company’s E-Commerce Site to meet the goals and objectives of the Company.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:• Build web pages and applications using HTML, JavaScript, JSP, and Java objects.
• Build beans and EJB’s (Enterprise Java Beans) to interact with other Java objects, JSP code or a DB2 database system. Import, export and deploy Java objects to the web server or repositories.
• Adheres to and participates in setting development source code control standards.
• Troubleshoot the system by reviewing WCS error logs, assist customers with technical issues. Work with Customer Care to investigate and resolve customer complaints and bring site down and up in a controlled fashion when necessary.
• Perform testing of web site functionality and features at both the component and application level, maintain a test environment that is synchronized with the live web server to ensure a quality development.
• Design and create new reporting features for the 4796 interface at the request of Customer Care and Marketing using HTML, JSP, JavaScript and EJBs.
• Perform administrative duties by using the Administration console to modify XML configuration files or change WCS settings. Create specifications and/or documentation, submit website to search engines, work in the VAJ(VisualAge for Java) development environment.
• Work with supervisor to create, update and maintain the E-Commerce Operations manual.
• Work with other departments with the maintenance and administration of the WebEditor server and runs queries and reports as requested.
• Maintain the catalog request process by creating Client Access transfers and working with end user(s) to ensure it is efficient and easy to use.
• Perform required system maintenance by keeping the E-commerce/JDE item cross-reference file (SKUREFFL) current, schedules order status update jobs (daily), runs price update jobs (weekly) and updates data from the database collection via SQL as needed.
• Work with third party vendors such as Traffic Leader, Performics, and For the Farm to create data feeds and reports when needed and implement “click-through” order reporting/submission processes when required.
• Place and maintain Coremetrics page tags used to track customer’s trends and statistics.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENTRY: • Four year degree in Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum two years related work experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with a wide variety of Company personnel and others.
• Some experience in system design and analysis.
