REPORTS TO: Application Development Manager
SUMMARY:Responsible for web application development and on-going support. Under the direction of the Application Development Manager – Web designs, implements and maintains websites and web applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:• Design / develop solutions required for complex application features.
• Design / develop functional aspects of the website and related data base servers.
• Design / develop interfaces between applications, ERP system and warehouse management systems.
• Provide programming support for web based sales and marketing programs and promotions.
• Provide technical estimates.
• Translate high level requirements into detailed designs.
• Ensures security and confidentiality of the website.
• Perform unit and functional testing.
• Provide web system support coverage, including after-hours support, as required.
• Assist the IT Department with special programming requests.
• Follow consistent .NET system development practices.
• Ensures adherence to policies and operating procedures.
• Adheres to internal SLA’s (Service Level Agreements).
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:• 3 to 5 years working in ASP.NET, C#, and T-SQL for MS SQL Server 2005/2008
• 3 to 5 years Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 and higher – Windows and Web experience, Ajax, Javascript/JQuery, XML/XSLT, WCF Services, and XML Web Services
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of relational database design and multi-tier web application architecture
• Experience with SQL Server 2000/2005 database application development involving Transact-SQL, stored procedures, and user-defined functions
• Prior experience developing e-Commerce website (shopping carts, credit card payment, taxes)
• Technical degree or equivalent experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
• On-going web technical training and certification
• Demonstrated ability to deliver services on schedule, on budget, meeting requirements
• Customer service organization, demonstrated by the ability to resolve incidents based upon Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
• Must be able to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
• Effective time management skills
• Prior experience with Microsoft Enterprise Library, Telerik RadControls for ASP.NET Ajax, JQuery, and MS SQL Server Reporting Services preferred
