Scalable infrastructure through efficient transactional oversight on a global best-in-class basis. Lliaison between the different business lines and organizational groups to define business requirements.
Major Responsibilities
o Collaborate with the technical group to execute the defined organizational priorities
o Define and document business functions and processes.
o Consult with functional unit management and personnel to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access.
o Act as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts and others in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
o Assist in the analysis of the feasibility, and help develop requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensure the system design fits the needs of the users.
o Track and fully document changes for functional and business specifications; write detailed universally understood procedures for permanent records and for use in training.
o Identify opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system solutions; assist in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes.
o Read and interpret functional technical literature and translate in terms understandable to the end-users.
o Plan, organize and conduct business process reengineering/improvement projects
o Conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes on business rules, functions and requirements.
o Participate in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality.
o Provide assistance in training of professional staff.
o Develop training curriculum and conduct formal training sessions.
o Participate in studies of new and existing programs and special projects to determine feasibility, resolve problems including organizational, procedural, technical and fiscal research and analysis; develop policy and procedures to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and/or improve internal and external customer service; prepare reports and written findings and recommendations; and monitor changes.
Qualifications
- Four-year Degree from an accredited college or university with a major such as accounting, finance, engineering or related discipline
- Finance or accounting background preferably CPA or CFA
- At least three years’ experience in a business analyst role
- Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio or similar software
- Working knowledge of relational databases and general programming concepts
o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Self-starter, with strong execution and follow through
o Manage multiple projects
