2065 - DB/SQL Developer - Minneapolis, MN

Be on the Team doing Business Intelligence Capability Build out.

Priority:

1. Expert SQL query, this underpins everything. 
2. Customer facing skills
3. Most of customer facing is for reporting.
4. Broad technical knowledge. 
5. Should be able to look at the data find what is really helpful in solving the users business problem.  Figure out what is really going on.
6. Will also be working with the data warehouse.

Other notes:

Good exp with SSRS SSIS SSAS.  Will use SSRS for sure but they will be choosing another reporting tool.  Will be a part of the decision process.

Expert Level SQL means Stored procs, Views, functions and the like to solve programming problems.

What really makes a person successful:

• Very high SQL query ability and use to solve bus problems
• Someone who can think in terms of overall system not just at an individual component.  For example somebody can write a stored proc but to understand the why and how the stored proc fits will make the person very successful.
• A personality that likes to work with people.
