Responsible for building and leveraging enterprise architecture to realize business objectives. Analyze and understand business strategy and apply sound architecture process and principles to build secure, flexible, resilient and cost-effective solutions.
In the first 6 months:
• Drive initiatives for technology product lines
• Define solution architecture
• Lead and facilitate collaboration of solution architects across work streams
• Review artifacts and deliverables
• Engage with product owners to build roadmaps and intelligence
• Make build or buy decisions
Primary Responsibilities
• Identify gaps, define future state, and develop roadmaps by assessing business & technology strategy, drivers, and pain points.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the distributed network of solution architects to deliver new capabilities and business solutions.
• Define and execute the architecture review process and lead the integration of these processes with existing business and IT processes.
• Ensure that governance structure and compliance activities (such as handling exception) are associated with EA compliance and alignment with IT and business strategy.
• Provide architecture consultation to program and project teams.
• Promote the EA process, outcomes, and results to the organization. This includes assessing and communicating the achievement and impact of the EA, as well as leading the development and execution of an EA communication and education plan.
Position Requirements
• 10+ years in information technology in progressively responsible roles
• 3 years leading architecture, design, development, and implementation of application development solutions at an enterprise level.
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience in leading and applying Business Architecture practices.
• Knowledge of overall enterprise architecture concepts and practices within frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or FEA.
• Experience with enterprise and application architecture including web application architecture, SOA, EAI
• Ability to align key enterprise strategies with strategic technology and architecture initiatives
• Strong experience with system development life cycle and project management principals.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
• Must have ability to influence and persuade others without direct authority.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience working in a dynamic, fast paced environment, managing multiple time sensitive tasks
• Ability to work independently in a self-directed manner
