Description
The Data & Business Intelligence Lead (D&BI Lead) works across all aspects of data management, business intelligence, analysis, implementation, and continuous improvement to provide executive leadership and ensure that our company turns data into information and insight. The D&BI Lead is responsible for protecting and enhancing our company's global data assets and information. This position must have executive presence and effectively lead the assessment and business case creation for data, business intelligence, and reporting enhancements. The D&BI Lead interacts with Global IT and other leadership teams to influence and ensure alignment on standards and processes, data management, and business intelligence technology decisions. This position manages a team where collaboration and coordination with supporting organizations are essential for success. This individual will work with Business Partners to ensure that Data & Business Intelligence is a asset and a source of value realization within the BUs.
40% - Strategy
- Communicate strategic decisions around data and information and inform change management efforts
- Track progress and manage issue resolution
- Provide vision and strategic direction to Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Implementation & Continuous Improvement resources
20% - Stakeholder Management
- Participate in the Global IT Extended Leadership Team
- Create and maintain relationships with relevant business stakeholders
- Communicate core, reference and conditional data management and business intelligence changes to the appropriate stakeholders
- Help define and review service levels, ensuring service meets business needs and expectations.
- Maintain established roadmaps for Data Management (i.e., Master Data, Enterprise Content Management, SharePoint, Market Data Services) and Business Intelligence by keeping current with changes happening elsewhere in the organization
- Set performance targets, analyze, and evaluate/enforce service delivery against targets
10% - Project Delivery
- Review prioritized list of projects in the Global IT project portfolio
- Prioritize projects based on business case and total budget/resources available to Global IT
- Approve high level delivery schedule for Global IT and other clients
- Collaborate with Portfolio Manager to adjust delivery schedule based on Global IT and business priorities
- Develop a target portfolio in alignment with strategic objectives
- Provide P&L responsibility for Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Implementation & Continuous Improvement related services
- Ensure that Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Implementation & Continuous Improvement and reporting related costs are controlled and establish recovery budgets, expense guidelines, and scope
- Also responsible for establishing, managing and being knowledgeable about the Global IT business intelligence environment as it relates to application portfolio management
25% -Talent Management
- Direct work activities/responsibilities of Data Management, Business Intelligence, and Implementation & Continuous Improvement evaluating resource levels
- Select, develop and retain a high-performing team, including performance feedback, coaching and development
- Establish and lead a culture of engagement in which people develop, apply their talents, and maintain work/life balance
- Ensure leveraged resources are promptly informed of changes impacting the work they do for Global IT
- Ensure leveraged resources consistently adhere to Global IT policies, procedures, and processes
5% - Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 15+ years total business experience
- 10+ years of related IT /Business Intelligence, Data Management analytics and reporting industry work experience including architecture design and deployment and systems lifecycle development management
- 7+ years of leadership experience in managing cross functional teams and direct management of teams
- Must have a proven track record of working with Senior and C-level executives to determine corporate information requirements and implementing systems to warehouse and retrieve key business information
- Ideal Candidate should have 10+ years of Business Intelligence, Data Management experience and come from a "hybrid" background of Information Systems technology and Business Management.

- Need to have a willingness to become conversational in and an appreciation for the technical aspects of data management and business intelligence needs
