This position is responsible for leading efforts in the areas of requirements definition, analysis, design, and implementation of our enterprise application server infrastructure. The position will perform duties on the message orientated middleware, application and web server environments. Position will also be accountable to provide administration support for commercial off the shelf products.
Additionally, this role is responsible to deliver technical infrastructure environments to application development projects on time and within scope definition.
Minimum Education:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field. Equivalent related experience and/or education may be substituted for degree requirement.
Minimum Experience:Five years work experience in a position that required general middleware application system administration and/or COTS administration and support. Familiarity with using Unix/Linux and enterprise databases.
Key Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Unix/Linux and Java. Experience supporting Java Application Servers. Knowledge of Oracle Weblogic preferred. Some familiarity with Windows .Net development desirable.
Key Skills: Demonstrated experience installing, configuring and tuning, monitoring and supporting Unix/Linux and Windows based application and web servers. Experience evaluating, installing and supporting development environments and tools. Ability to write scripts in Unix Shell, Perl and/or Python. Demonstrated ability to install and configure integrated infrastructure for reliable delivery, redundancy and failover. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain enterprise applications and business critical systems.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrated success in working both independently and in a team environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated strong analytical and creative problem solving, and the ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities. Leadership experience desired.
