Summary The SAP Basis Administrator’s role is to supervise and operate the organization’s SAP systems through implementation of best practices. This includes installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, and maintaining the company’s investments in proprietary SAP technologies. The SAP Basis Administrator is also responsible for planning and coordinating the change management of processes required for the support of SAP systems necessary for business operations. This individual will apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to solve issues related to the deployment of mission-critical SAP software.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities• Evaluate, install, configure, and deploy SAP applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
• Perform daily monitoring and troubleshooting of the SAP system; install and configure patches and upgrades as required.
• Manage all servers, and systems that connect and enable SAP including but not limited to SQL, SAP web service, SAP BI services, backup servers required for data recovery or data movement and their associated operating systems and software.
• Perform SAP design and capacity planning.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies, procedures and associated training plans for SAP Basis administration, appropriate use, and disaster recovery.
• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Perform server and security audits.
• Perform system backups and recovery and ensure an up to date disaster recovery plan for SAP.
• Act as backup for WindowsSystems Administrator’s duties.
Minimum Education/Certification• College degree preferred.
Minimum Experience• 2+ Basis Administration
• MS SQL administration and other relational database administration.
• SAP B2B Administration
