Candidate will have experience as a Linux System Administrator with additional experience in MySQL Database Administration. Additional experience desired includes Microsoft System Administration and Cisco Network Administration.
Job Functions: • Operate, install, configure, manage, and support Linux based servers for both development and production environments
• Design and implement scalable and highly available systems consistent with best practices and industry standards
• Work to develop and standardize server and network systems
• Document and communicate technical infrastructure principals, designs and standards
• Understand how the technical infrastructure can be used to build and sustain competitive advantage for RedBrick Health
• Identify, research, and evaluate emerging technologies, products, and related tools, and recommend as required
• Keep abreast of and evaluate new technologies and products..
Required Skills• Proven technical skills in administration of Linux (RedHat or CentOS preferred) and MySQL Database
• Strong understanding of security, performance tuning, configuration management, and event monitoring
• A demonstrated understanding of mission-critical enterprise applications including support for reliability, availability and security
• Experience supporting networks serving Web-based applications across the Internet
