2b. Technically right now, they are heads down learning about cloud infrastructure, especially Microsoft Azure. Someone who is passionate about automating everything will find our environment target rich.

Essential Functions/Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead day-to-day operations of an on-premise, data center and cloud environment
• Hire, train and mentor an operations and engineering team
• Provide proactive technical support across a wide range of technology and services
• Ability to manage projects with tight timeframes
• Passionate about operational excellence and documentation
• Deep knowledge of the Windows stack, including build, administration, monitoring and tuning of application (IIS), database (MS SQL) and domain servers
• Design and manage monitoring and performance analysis systems
• Extensive knowledge of security best practices and effective implementation
• Strong desire to automate first whenever possible
• Ability to build, administer, monitor and tune Linux application servers

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or related technical field
• People management experience
• Experience with 24/7 production operations
• Knowledge of host and cloud infrastructure, especially Azure and VMWare
• Ability to deep dive into complex technical problems and find solutions
• Experience with Continuous Integration, Version Control and related tools
• Experience and passion to work in a fast paced Agile environment
• Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft development stack is a plus
• Must be able to commute to and work in an office environment and be able to lift 50lbs
