This full time position will provide technical and administrative support for workstations using Microsoft operating systems and a variety of application software. The qualified candidate will maintain adequate knowledge of existing hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the workstation and users' utilization of them.
ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide support for end users ranging from 1st level support to 3rd level support.
- Track support requests using internal ticketing system and provide updates and regular communications with end users.
- Install new software applications or hardware on the organization’s computer systems coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary.
- Prepare new computer systems for use by employees as necessary. Replace computer systems on a scheduled basis.
- Maintain an accurate inventory for computer systems shipped and received as well as providing asset tag information to the accounts payable department.
- Provide written documentation on a regular basis to identify trends in the level of requests being addressed.
- Participate in Team meetings, providing input and suggestions pertaining to the computing environment.
- Carry out other such duties as may be assigned or requested.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Work Experience: 3 or more years’ experience in a desktop support environment
Demonstrated Technical Competencies to include:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (Win7, Win8, Win10)
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 2010, 2011, 2013, 2016 Professional
- Demonstrated knowledge of TCP/IP and networking concepts
Demonstrated Professional Competencies to include:
- Ability to communicate effectively (oral and written) with all levels of end-users in a professional manner
- Detail oriented with demonstrated customer service and organizational skills
- Methodical and disciplined approach to problem solving
- Ability to follow through on projects and complete tasks in a timely manner
- Problem-solving skills to reflect level of responsibilities
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information
