Job Detail
Will be responsible for proactively leading, analyzing, measuring and communicating marketing campaign effectiveness and return on investment across all marketing channels by employing tools, processes and best practices for managing, enhancing and leveraging our marketing database in demand generation activities. You will work closely with Marketing, Sales and IT to ensure there is strong linkage between people, processes and technologies. In addition, you will:
- Proactively manage and maintain the integrity, quality and depth of the marketing database required to support marketing campaigns.
- Recommend and implement plans to enhance, augment (e.g., list purchasing) and segment the marketing database to expand marketing reach to potential buyers, influencers and evaluators within targeted markets.
- Pull segmented lists for targeted campaign execution.
- Ensure the appropriate lead data is captured (could include a tiered approach to data capture) and leads are expeditiously and properly tagged and loaded for the purposes of full lifecycle lead management and analysis.
- Provide dashboard level and detailed analysis of marketing campaign contribution and influence on the entire marketing and sales pipeline at multiple levels – overall, campaign, vehicle (e.g., paid search, email campaigns, newsletters, etc.)
- Provide timely ROI analyses on all types of marketing campaigns to aid marketing managers in planning and investment decisions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert and conduct ad-hoc analysis of the marketing database.
- Work with other team members to identify and implement processes and tools to increase automation of lead capture, management and nurturing.
- Serve as the primary marketing liaison with sales and IT to ensure a seamless process flow between the marketing database, CRM system and related systems.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP and HLOOKUP).
- Microsoft Access skills.
- Experience in working with a Customer Relationship Management system, preferably Salesforce.com, to ensure it supports the requirements needed to track campaign performance and marketing impact on pipeline contribution/influence.
- Experience in working with a marketing automation platform, preferably Eloqua.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field with 5 or more years of related experience, preferably within a technology driven organization.
