This job’s #1 goal is to evaluate and select one of two erp systems. One is point force by Tecsys, and the other is InforA+
This role reports to the CFO who has an MBA and is polished.
They need someone who is not afraid to crawl under the desk to hook up a router, but also who is strategic and knows IT. so more of a strategist who is still tactical.
There will be some but very little travel.
This person will only have 3 direct reports.
They have about 250M in revenue.
- Select an ERP system that brings three companies together under one system.
- Working in a small non political environment
Someone who has the poise and polish on the outside but is really a roll up sleeves person on the inside.
Someone who has worked in environments that are ERP oriented.
Job Description:
This position is responsible for all the information and technology systems and networks including computer hardware and software, operating systems, internet, email, telephone and other communication resources (EDI, VPN, etc.). The position is also responsible for the multiple ERP systems of the various divisions and integrating them into one seamless operational system. This position, which reports directly to the CFO, will have direct reports located at the divisional locations. While the position is at the Director level, it is a hands-on operational role that will be highly involved in the integration and operations of the various divisions of the Company as well as in the design of new I/T solutions for the Company to enhance operational efficiency.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Independent assessment of the ERP systems to determine what system should be implemented company-wide.
- Develop and maintain system standards related to daily backup operations, data security, software upgrades and other IT infrastructure.
- Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems.
- Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements and monitoring of IT systems performance.
- Develop applications and productivity solutions for the inside and field sales team as well as improved reporting systems for managers.
- Install and configure new hardware and software.
- Organize, direct and implement department’s work plan and assign activities
- Mentor, develop, review and evaluate department staff
- Other duties as assigned
All qualifications are required unless otherwise noted:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 10+ years of experience working with and managing ERP systems, computer hardware and software, data security, and communications (telephonic, internet, VPN, EDI, etc).
- Previous experience assessing the capabilities of ERP systems and selecting the optimal solution.
- Proven positive track record of implementing a new ERP system and/or integrating ERP systems.
- Experience with multi-site, multi-company locations.
- Knowledge of frameworks and technologies related to ERP, operating systems and infrastructure, and data transfer (EDI) and security.
- Works well with all levels within the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment.
