This is an 8 to 5 job.
Responsible for advanced technical requirements definition, documentation, development, and testing of BI reports/dashboards/analytics used for business systems. This includes review of requirements specifications, writing technical specifications, coding of solutions, and testing developed solutions.
Responsibilities Include:
• Observe and comply with all established software build, coding and archiving procedures, software documentation standards, SDLC process, and software testing methodologies.
• Responsible and accountable for the quality of all development.
• Develop, build, and test BI reports/dashboards/ analytic components and line of business systems.
• Perform daily BI reports/dashboards/analytic development analysis, technical requirements definition, and design of application and interface components necessary to deliver high quality web forms based line of business analytics.
• Assist with general support activities for business applications and systems.
• Daily work with the IT team to support software questions/issues encountered by customer implementers and end-users.
• Weekly work with Project Managers to track development projects.
• Must provide clear written and verbal communications.
Education/Training/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or 5+ years of equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years of experience in Visual Studio 2008/2010 .NET development and debugging experience required.
• 2+ years of BI/analytics development experience required. Previous experience with QlikView or similar tool preferred.
• 2+ years of dashboard/reports integration experience required. Experience with Sharepoint preferred.
• Some experience in software and database architecture design is required.
• MS SQL Server/database modeling knowledge preferred.
• Writing stored procedures preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in report writing with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Crystal Reports, MS Access and/or other report writer required.

• Strong time management skills – Must provide accurate development effort estimates, complete scheduled work on-time, and manage multiple activities at one time with frequent status updates to IT managers.
• Ability to maintain confidential information – all access to confidential information will be well managed to prevent accidental exposure as defined in company policies.
• Able to take direction and follow through multi-step project steps/procedures consistently.
• Successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills – Must provide the highest possible quality work product on a consistent basis.
• Strict adherence to established support and service management policies and procedures (i.e. incident, change, problem, etc.) thereby ensuring all activities are fully documented for auditing and future support purposes.
• Ability to create designs appropriate with the solution requested and within the defined software systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex and possibly intermittent problems within dashboards/reports and software systems.
• Ability to determine the most effective method to solve complex dashboards/reports and software solutions within the defined software architecture.
• Ability to estimate the effort required to develop dashboards/reports and software solutions based on functional requirements provided by the BAS team and other sources.
