Lots of development of core business systems.
Can have either background:
* Good mid level experience with MVC and C#
OR
* A Senior Developer on old .Net technology (XSLT) and who wants to move into MVC technology.
Responsibilities:> Understand of high-availability, heavily trafficked web-based platforms
> Architect, design, develop, test, implement and maintain .NET/C# applications
> Provide development direction and guidance to other team members and local contract developers
> Able to deploy and maintain .NET code sets to meet application and customer needs
> Eliminate /automate manual tasks for the team
> Assist with migration of clients from old platform to new MVC-based platform
> Research, recommend, and deploy new technologies to properly apply system & data resources to business needs
> Perform optimization, design and security code reviews
> Demonstrated ability to examine day to day processes and recommend improvements
> Capable of trending observations on system and application failures/bottlenecks and recommending approaches to resolve and proactively prevent them
> Supports the daily operations of the code base and appropriately applies resources to ensure integrity and uptime/availability of the customer-facing systems
> Act as first point of contact and response for issues related to application related issues
> Manages relationships with vendor technical support resources to resolve problems quickly and restore service in the event of issues
> Implements effective solutions consistent with the size and scope of the business need
Requirements:> College degree in computer science or equivalent, and 3 years’ experience with .NET in a web-based environment
> Knowledge of relevant Microsoft and other key technologies including Visual Studio, .NET 4.x, ASP.NET, C#, Service-Oriented Architecture, iframes, web services, Javascript/JSON, HTML, XHTML, CSS
> Excellent trouble-shooting skills that possess technical breadth and depth
> Comfortable working in a collaborative team structure yet able to work independently
> Strong analytical skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to think strategically and act tactically
> Beneficial: Knowledge of TFS, SQLServer, SSIS/SSRS, MVC
