About the job:• Self directed pro active type of person. Can take rough specs, work the users to refine them and code, text, implement. Will be given a project to do and take it from there. There likely will be several projects at the same time.
• For each project/request there is a sponsor from the business side to work with.
• Most of the projects are developing interfaces with packages or other existing systems.
• Analysis work.
• Work with users.
• The projects are in and around manufacturing and distribution systems. So, manufacturing or distribution experience is important to have.
• RPG ILE is important experience to have.
• They also use Free. They feel if someone has strong RPG ILE back ground they learn Free.
• They do a lot of Embedded SQL. They feel if someone has a strong RPG ILE back ground they can learn how to do Embedded SQL.
• They also use GoAnywhere and Surveyor. The person does NOT have to have Go Anywhere or Surveyor but it would be NICE to have FAMILIARITY with tools like these.
