1648 - .Net Database Programmer/Analyst - South Twin Cities Sub

Job Description

Responsible for development of custom systems used for data analysis and reporting.
This position also involves a significant amount of data analysis, problem resolution, and processing.
Expert SQL development skills are required.

Development Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Design stored procedures for data warehouse and customer reporting.
* Develop and test program components in accordance with adopted standards.
* Ensure the quality of the source code and conducts source code peer review.
* Provide task estimates to project manager and the development team.
* Work closely with DBA/Architect to identify areas for optimization.
* Work closely with application developers to implement database code paired with an application
* Participate in requirements, design and code reviews.
* Utilize established standards, guidelines, and procedures in development

Analysis duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Troubleshoot and design fixes for data related problems.
* Analyze integrity of data imported from external sources.
* Identify and fix data that does not conform to business rules
* Develop ad-hoc queries as needed to resolve problems/questions

Processing duties include, but are not limited to the following:
* Develop processing code and procedures
* Execute procedures to process live-data during production times
* Develop ad-hoc queries as needed by internal groups

Requirements:
* Experience in developing MS SQL Server stored procedures and UDF’s.
* High-level knowledge of database design.
* Experience in Data Warehouse and Data Processing environment.
* Experience with Microsoft .NET environment.
* Experience with Visual Studio 2003/2005/2008/2010 a plus.
* Experience with Crystal Reports, ActiveReports and/or other reporting tools.
* Experience writing highly scalable database code a must
