Job DescriptionThe person will be interfacing with users to understand request needs and ensure positive user experiences while also interfacing with the technical development team. The person will also help support the BI reporting capabilities and may be developing Cognos BI reports and leading various BI projects. This is a great opportunity for a person who wants to develop and manage processes and influence the Cognos user experience.
Job Responsibilities• Participate in Cognos BI Development and Production Support
• Project Manage Small BI Initiatives
• Project Manage Oracle O2C Reporting Project
• Manage and Develop Business Objects/Cognos Customer Profitability toolset
• Requirement gathering for BI request prioritization
• Transition current request management toolset to CA Service Desk
• Develop request management reports and dashboards with Business Objects.
Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Finance, MIS or similar field required
• 3+ years Cognos BI experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to multi-task with diverse scope and complexity while meeting aggressive deadlines
• Be able to work on multi-service integrations often requiring extremely complex problem solving with a solution mindset
• Experience working on projects that have high executive visibility with minimal level of supervision
• Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for improving processes
• Proven written and verbal communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentation creation
• Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving ability and decision-making
• Proven ability to interact with both technology and business functions.
