Position Statement:The Cold Fusion / UI developer will be focused on design, development, and implementation of the Content Management System that drives all of IB’s web sites. You will be working on an Agile project team, using Agile practices to develop software that allows our customers to make structural changes to their website and manage their content.
The main development effort will be in ColdFusion (CF), with requisite User Interface (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) work. Experience working with underlying Java / Ruby frameworks would be a definite advantage.
Essential Functions:• Collaborative engineer. It is essential to have the ability to work with others of differing skills / experience; to be able to mentor and be mentored.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of our content management system using ColdFusion, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and other related technologies.
• Work with our customers, designers, and internal development team to analyze customer workflows in regards to content management.
• Develop innovative, low-cost, and low-maintenance solutions for our customers.
Qualifications & Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) Required:• Experienced ColdFusion developer (5+ years).
• Advanced skills in CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. 3-5 years of hands on experience.
• Proficiency and knowledge of web development, design technologies (2+ years)
• Strong DB background (Oracle or other).
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented programming concepts.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with Agile Practices (iterations, releases, TDD, unit tests, etc).
• Knowledge of integration with Java/Ruby backend is a plus.
• Experience with Flash / Flex / ActionScript is a plus
• Must be able to prioritize and manage simultaneous assignments within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong initiative and self-starting
